WHAT WE'RE DOING IN ARRIAGA, CHIAPAS, MEXICO

Well now that you have heard the news of me getting married to my beautiful wife DANIELA :)

And that you also know now we are living here in arriaga, chiapas,  some might ask , Kevin

what are you and Daniela doing down there? So i'd like to try my best to inform you. We are helping in a orphanige called "EL FARO DE ESPERANZA " or "EL FARO" for short, 

 Daniela has a great teaching gift especialy with younger children so we have been praying to see how she can put these gifts to use here. She has taught in Puebla in a private school focusing on teaching english. She aklso has taught in a private school in Canada for 6 months. It actualy was one of the things that atracted me to hear back when i first went to visit her forthe first time, i peeked around a coner of the school where she was teaching and saw her glowing with joy teaching her class, but i also know she came get serious with them and make them behave when needed :)

As for myself,  a few years back when i was living in Canada  I felt to contact some friends of mine who are missionaries in ARRIAGA,CHIAPAS,  i was thinking of returning there to help them out,  specificly in the transtion from the house where the work is now to the ranch which is being built presently,   So I did so in 2008 i came back to my second home here in arriaga,chiapas.  The ranch is a beautiful piece of property about 30 min from Arriaga,  which one day will be full of laughter and smiles with over 200 kids living there with it's own school for them and also kids from surounding communities. There still is alot of work to be done  but we hope to finish the "big house" in the next few months which will be used to recive teams who come to help work on the ranch .  

So we both have a huge task ahead of us and we see ourselves as two puzzle pieces who God has called to be apart of this amazing work that is being done here in arriaga,

HOME SWEET HOME :)

Well we have been busy here in Arriaga, Chiapas over the past few weeks cleaning up our new home,  we were able to find  a place to rent that does have a/c and a boiler for hot water ;)

We have now officaly unpacked and have things some what in order .  We are now getting use to our new daily activites , Daniela  has started to give classes (she is a greatly gifted teacher)  As for myself i am slowly getting back into the swing of things here at "EL FARO"  thanks again for all your  support and prayers ......  

IT TRULY WAS A WONDERFUL DAY !!!!

Hey everyone,  well in case you didn't know on OCT 16th 2010 I married the woman of my dreams, Her name is Daniela Curiel ,  it was a beautiful day in ATLIXCO, PUEBLA,  and it was a great time with friends and family from all over,  The wedding celabration was held at "LAS CALDANDRIAS" a beautiful hotel that has two huge gardens, in one of the gardens we had the church service and in the other is where we had the dinner, truly it was a magnificent night, :)  

Now we are back in ARRIAGA, CHIAPAS getting things in order around our house,  it was a long 9 hour drive from Puebla to ARRIAGA ,CHIAPAS but worth every second of it,  if you could keep us in prayer  as we look forward to this new and exciting time we are experiencing , and  we just want to walk in God's perfect will for us here in ARRIAGA,CHIAPAS .
